We are looking for a skilled Facilities Engineer with 4 to 9 years of experience in facilities engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or chemical engineering and excellent analytical skills.
Roles and Responsibility
- Evaluate facility performance, compression separation pipelines, and identify capacity constraints.
- Analyze production systems surveillance, assess anomalies, and assist in building automatic detection capabilities.
- Recommend operational adjustments and equipment modifications to optimize facility operations.
- Assess individual components, valves, PSVs, instrumentation, and perform RCFA to recommend design or operating improvements.
- Develop facility capacity models and support minor facility modifications through engineering calculations.
- Perform compressor performance mapping, separator and treater capacity analysis, pipeline hydraulics, and pressure drop analysis.
- Conduct vibration analysis interpretation and implement facility debottlenecking methodology.
- Size equipment for replacement or upgrade scenarios, evaluate vendor proposals and equipment specifications, and prepare engineering deliverables for Change Management platform packages.
- Review and validate engineering work from others, prepare facility performance reports and recommendations, maintain facility capacity databases and models, and document engineering analyses with explicit assumptions.
- Support capital planning with equipment condition assessments and contribute to lessons-learned documentation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in platforms such as PI Vision SCADA, Microsoft Excel, ProMax HYSYS, Claude AI, and Microsoft Teams.
- Proficiency is expected in areas including compressor performance mapping, separator and treater capacity analysis,
pipeline hydraulics, and pressure drop analysis.
- Fluent English CEFR B2 and reliable internet connection are required.
- Experience with unconventional shale production facilities, compressor vibration analysis, and ProMaxHYSYS advanced modeling is preferred.
- Familiarity with condition monitoring systems, Change Management platform process, and managed services engineering background is desirable.
- Stakeholder communication requirements include senior facilities engineers directing teams via email and phone, operations teams providing performance data constraints, maintenance/reliability teams handling equipment condition history, compression vendors offering performance support, and supplier team leads administering tasks.
- Key performance indicators include vibration coverage, model currency, optimization impact, schedule adherence, quality, analysis throughput, and other relevant measures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in facilities engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with compression and separation system analysis, process simulation (ProMax HYSYS or equivalent), and equipment sizing and evaluation calculations.
- Understanding of pipeline hydraulics, fluent English (CEFR B2), and reliable internet connection.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using various software tools, including PI Vision SCADA, Microsoft Excel, and ProMax HYSYS.
