Job Summary

The Manager Airline Contracting is responsible for negotiating airline contracts, managing group air bookings, and ensuring seamless air travel logistics for meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE). This role requires deep expertise in GDS systems, vendor management, and group travel operations. The position plays a critical role in aligning air travel solutions with client expectations, budgetary goals, and service excellence.

Responsibilities

- Negotiate and manage airline contracts for group travel, ensuring cost-effective and client-compliant solutions.
- Handle group air bookings, block space management, and ticketing using GDS (e.g., SABRE).
- Monitor and manage GDS queues and email folders for program-specific air requests.
- Pull and update daily reports from registration tools to track booking status and special requests.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth traveler approval processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation in GDS and registration systems.
- Ensure compliance with client airline contracts and BCD ME policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and travel consultation to clients and attendees.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve service issues and secure optimal terms.
- Support program planning teams with air logistics and manifest accuracy.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on GDS experience (Sabre/Amadeus required).
- Solid knowledge of domestic and international air travel markets.
- Demonstrated experience in group bookings, block space management, ticketing, and exchanges.
- Proven ability to negotiate airline contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Prior exposure to incentive/meeting program elements and corporate travel compliance.
