About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Formulation & Development (F&D;) Manager to lead the development of innovative Nutraceutical Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) products, including tablets, capsules, powders, granules, chewables, effervescent tablets, and sachets. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in formulation development, scale-up, technology transfer, regulatory compliance, and successful commercialization of nutraceutical products in compliance with FSSAI and GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end formulation development of nutraceutical OSD products, including tablets, capsules, powders, sachets, and granules.
- Design and optimize formulations through pre-formulation studies, excipient compatibility studies, and prototype development.
- Conduct pilot batches, scale-up studies, and technology transfer to commercial manufacturing.
- Develop innovative formulations using vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbal extracts, probiotics, proteins, and specialty nutraceutical ingredients.
- Perform stability studies and ensure product performance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Prepare and review formulation development reports, SOPs, specifications, Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, GLP,



HACCP, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, Production, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, Packaging Development, and Marketing teams.
- Evaluate new ingredients, delivery technologies, flavor systems, sweeteners, and functional excipients for product innovation.
- Support regulatory submissions, product registrations, customer technical queries, and audit requirements.
- Lead multiple development projects while ensuring timely product launches and adherence to project timelines.
- Mentor and develop the F&D; team while driving continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 1015 years of experience in Formulation & Development within the Nutraceutical or Pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing Nutraceutical OSD development.
- Strong expertise in developing:
- Tablets (IR, Chewable, Effervescent)
- Hard Gelatin & HPMC Capsules
- Protein Powders
- Functional Nutrition Products

- Hands-on experience with process optimization, scale-up, technology transfer, and commercialization.
- Thorough understanding of ingredient compatibility, taste masking, bioavailability enhancement, and stability studies.
- Exposure to domestic and export nutraceutical markets is preferred.
- Strong project management, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.
