Summary:
As a Technology Platform Engineer, a typical day involves designing and setting up both production and non-production cloud environments tailored to project or product needs. This role includes deploying automation pipelines to streamline the creation and configuration of these environments, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency. The position requires continuous collaboration with various teams to maintain and enhance the platform infrastructure, supporting the overall technology ecosystem within the organization.

Roles Responsibilities:
Linux Administration (RHEL Ubuntu)

- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu

- OS installation, configuration, and provisioning

- User, group, and permission management

- Package management (YUM, DNF, APT)

- System boot process and troubleshooting

- Disk management (LVM, file systems, mount points)

- Process and service management (systemd, init)

- Networking configuration and troubleshooting

- Performance tuning and system monitoring

- Log analysis and troubleshooting production issues

- Red Hat Satellite:

- Experience with Red Hat Satellite server setup and administration

- Host provisioning using Satellite

- Patch management and lifecycle management





- Subscription and repository management

- Content views, activation keys, and lifecycle environments

- Integration with Ansible (if applicable)

- Oracle Solaris:

- Experience with Solaris 10/11 environments

- LDOMs / Zones (basic or advanced exposure)

- ZFS file system administration

- User and process management

- Patch management and OS maintenance

- AWS Cloud:

- Hands-on experience with AWS services

- EC2, AMI, EBS

- VPC, Subnets, Security Groups

- IAM roles and policies

- Load balancing (ELB/ALB/NLB)

- Deployment and management of Linux instances in AWS

- Basic understanding of cloud security and networking

- Monitoring using CloudWatch

- Bash Scripting:

- Writing scripts for automation and system administration

- Log parsing, monitoring scripts, cron jobs

- Shell scripting for operational tasks

- Ansible:

- Writing playbooks, roles, and inventories

- Automating configuration, patching, and deployments

- Ad-hoc commands and orchestration

Skilled Technical Skills:

Must To Have Skills:

- Proficiency in Red Hat OS Administration.

- Experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux-based operating systems in cloud environments.

- Strong knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages to support environment provisioning.

- Ability to monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.

- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and deployment methodologies.

- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Red Hat OS Administration.

- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.

- A 15 years full time education is required.
