Role Description

We invite applications for the position of Visiting Faculty – Python Programming for the B.Sc. Data Science program at our Mumbai campus located at Patkar Varde College, Goregaon West.

Python is the foundational programming language used across Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Analytics, and Software Development. The selected faculty member will be responsible for building strong programming fundamentals among undergraduate students while helping them understand how Python is applied in real-world business and technology environments.

The ideal candidate should bring significant industry experience and be capable of connecting programming concepts with practical applications through hands-on coding sessions, industry use cases, assignments, and project-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Delivery

- Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on practical sessions in Python Programming.
- Teach core programming concepts including variables, data types, control structures, functions, file handling, exception handling, and object-oriented programming.




- Introduce students to problem-solving techniques and computational thinking.
- Demonstrate industry best practices in software development, debugging, testing, and code documentation.
- Develop and maintain course content, coding exercises, assignments, and project work aligned with academic and industry expectations.
- Conduct practical coding sessions and mentor students during lab activities.

Academic Responsibilities

- Support internal assessments, project evaluations, and academic reviews.
- Coordinate with the Academic Team to ensure timely syllabus completion.
- Maintain academic standards and student engagement throughout the semester.

Industry Integration

- Introduce students to Python applications in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Analytics.
- Share practical insights from real-world software and analytics projects.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, tools, and frameworks within the Python ecosystem.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience in Python Programming.
- Experience in Software Development, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, or Analytics domains.
- Familiarity with NumPy, Pandas,



and Python development tools.
- Understanding of programming best practices, debugging, and version control concepts.
- Prior teaching, mentoring, corporate training, or technical coaching experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Robust ability to explain technical concepts to beginner-level learners.

Experience (Preferred)

- 3+ years of hands-on industry experience using Python.
- Experience working on live software, analytics, automation, or data science projects.
- Prior teaching, mentoring, or corporate training experience preferred.
- Experience guiding students, interns, or junior developers will be an added advantage.
