About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior JavaScript/TypeScript Developer to join our remote engineering team. This role is for someone who wants to build and improve real product features and also take responsibility for how those features behave in production.

You’ll work across backend services (and occasionally frontend) and will also help troubleshoot live issues, handle bug fixes, and work on support tickets when they require code-level changes. The balance between new development and support will vary over time based on business needs, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable owning both.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Engineering

- Design, develop, and enhance features using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.
- Implement and integrate RESTful APIs and external services.
- Work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB to design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following modern best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and architecture.

Support, Stability & Maintenance



- Debug and fix production issues and bugs raised via internal teams or support channels.




- Work on support tickets that involve code-level investigation or small enhancements.
- Help improve monitoring, logging, and performance of existing services.
- Document features, APIs, and technical workflows to make future troubleshooting easier.

Required Skills

- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of Node.js and Express.
- Experience with at least one major database: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Ability to design and work with data models and write efficient queries.
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting application issues in real environments.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and modern development practices.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows (branches, pull requests, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

- Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- Basic knowledge of BigQuery or other large-scale analytics databases.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps workflows.
