Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Assistant to support procurement activities for our building construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist in sourcing construction materials, coordinating with suppliers, maintaining purchase records, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Freshers with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience in the construction industry will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in purchasing construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Obtain quotations from vendors and compare prices.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and invoices.
- Prepare and maintain Purchase Orders (POs) and procurement records.
- Track material deliveries and ensure timely availability at project sites.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Maintain inventory and stock records.
- Coordinate with site engineers and project teams for material requirements.
- Support vendor relationship management and supplier follow-ups.
- Maintain procurement documentation and filing accurately.
- Assist in cost control and purchasing reports.
- Perform other procurement and administrative tasks assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word, Email).
- Ability to maintain records and documentation.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and work in a quick-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the building construction industry is an added advantage.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
