- Setting up and operating lathes: Load and unload parts, set up machines, and operate them to produce parts according to specifications.
- Interpreting technical drawings: Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and charts to determine machining requirements.
- Maintaining machines: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments as needed .
- Inspecting finished parts: Verify that parts meet quality standards and specifications .
- Collaborating with team members: Work with others to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience: Previous experience as a Lathe Operator or similar role.
- Technical skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, knowledge of machining processes, and mechanical aptitude.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or degree in mechanical engineering preferred
