Role & responsibilities
- Maintain, organize, and update inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and day-care medical records.
- Perform indexing, filing, retrieval, scanning, and digitization of medical records.
- Update patient information accurately in the Hospital Information System (HIS/EMR).
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for completion of deficient records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Assist in ICD coding, medical record audits, and documentation reviews.
- Generate daily, monthly, and annual MRD reports.
- Support NABH audits, medico-legal documentation, and insurance record requirements.
- Ensure proper storage, retention, and disposal of medical records as per hospital policy.
Preferred candidate profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Medical Records Department of a multispecialty hospital.
- Good understanding of hospital documentation processes and medical terminology.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
