Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Legal Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support an AI and legal research initiative focused on evaluating and improving AI-generated legal outputs. The selected consultant will work closely with AI and engineering teams to assess legal reasoning, accuracy, and quality across various legal scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and evaluate AI-generated legal analyses, summaries, and responses.
- Assess legal accuracy, completeness, reasoning, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Create evaluation frameworks, test cases, and benchmarks for legal tasks.
- Identify factual inaccuracies, hallucinations, or missing legal considerations in AI outputs.
- Provide detailed feedback and annotations to improve AI model performance.
- Assist in developing workflows related to legal research, contract review, compliance, and corporate legal matters.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality legal evaluations.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- JD, LLM, or equivalent law degree required.
- 10+ years of professional legal experience.
- Expertise in one or more areas such as:
- Corporate Law
- Commercial Contracts
- Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
- Employment Law
- Litigation
- Intellectual Property
- Privacy & Data Protection

- Solid legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Experience reviewing complex legal documents and providing expert legal opinions.
- Familiarity with legal technology, AI tools, or legal research platforms is a plus.
- Active Bar membership preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
