- Responsible for driving executing process engineering KPIs for paint shop SFU (Small factory unit)
- Responsible for Production Capacity Enhancement to meet the customer demand.
- Collaborate with Production team on day-to-day basis to assess improve the existing processes.
- Establishment of process for new products and process documents like process data sheet (PDS), operation data sheet (ODS), Assembly instructions sweet (AIS), PFMEA etc.,
- New product Paint development for manufacturing production line should be established along with new process transfer, assembly and testing validation approval from Global process experts.
Responsibilities
- Execution of process engineering deliverables along with manufacturing team.
- Responsible for continuously improving the painting process in
- Selection of paint.
- Surface preparation processes (Shot blasting, Grit blasting)
- Painting pre preparation process.
- Painting.
- Inspection /Validation of the painting
- Post Painting process (Flash off + Curing)
- Jigging Fixturing for the parts.
- Masking of parts.
- Paint mixing Preparation processes.
- Thorough knowledge on the painting standards.
- Qualification of the special process transfer (PCR Process
- Establishment of new facility equipments and handover to production.
- To respond the QRQC issues in SFU.
- Improve the capacity of the painting process through continual improvements
- Budgetary Control for Capital Investment for project and existing products.
- Preparing of Return on Investment (ROI) for each capital investments to make justification to Top Management.
- Preparation of Make/Buy with sourcing team for current projects and existing products.
- Preparation of Paint shop VSM layout and lead a lean culture.
- Preparation of PFMEA and Process flow diagram for new products
- As a project core team member (CTM),
you will work seamlessly with other CTM's from various functions assigned to the project under the leadership of your project manager.
- Sustain of IMS IRIS system in Painting SFU
- You must demonstrate agility such that the Projects are executed in a manner that will ensure repeat orders from the same Customer.
- Special process owner for handling painting processes.
- The Process owner has the authority to instruct and make decisions independent from production.
The area of responsibility includes:
- Requirement review and feasibility confirmation during tender phases.
- Design review (when applicable).
- Material specification.
- Validation of:
- The Wabtec site local guidelines, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
- Qualification of the personnel involved in the special process
- Qualification of the special process.
- Qualification of the special process transfer (PCR Process).
- Evaluation (risk assessment) of PCR/ECR involving the special process.
- Evaluation (risk assessment) of concessions involving the special process.
- Production planning and start up, especially for new products.
- Process and product audits
- Nonconformities and corrective actions
- Identification and traceability
- Quality records
- Knowledge management
- The Special Process Owner supports production transfer when special processes are impacted.
- The Special Process Owner can support other production sites with his expertise.

PG diploma Paint coating technology or chemical Engg
Professional Experience
