Position: Reddit Community Growth & Engagement Specialist

About the Role

We're looking for a Reddit-savvy community builder to grow our presence across cybersecurity and IT-focused subreddits. You'll build genuine credibility through valuable participation — not spam — while identifying organic opportunities to raise brand awareness among CISOs, IT managers, and security professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Grow and maintain Reddit profile karma through authentic, meaningful participation
- Actively engage in cybersecurity, CISO, IT management, security awareness, and related subreddit communities
- Share valuable insights, research, guides, and educational content — prioritizing helpfulness over promotion
- Identify contextually appropriate opportunities to mention the company and its resources
- Create discussion topics, polls, and engagement posts to grow the company's own Reddit community
- Respond to comments and questions to sustain conversation threads
- Track and report weekly/monthly performance metrics (karma growth, engagement, community growth, brand visibility opportunities)
- Ensure full compliance with Reddit's Content Policy and individual subreddit rules

- Upvotes and comment engagement
- Discussion participation rate
- New / active community members
- Relevant, organic brand mentions

What You Must Not Do





- Spam links or promotional content
- Purchase upvotes or engagement
- Use bots or artificial engagement tools
- Manipulate voting systems
- Violate subreddit-specific rules

Ideal Candidate

- Strong existing Reddit presence — approximately 25,000+ combined karma, or an equivalent relevant track record of active, credible participation
- Genuinely active/experienced Reddit user with an understanding of subreddit culture and etiquette
- Interest in or familiarity with cybersecurity, IT, or InfoSec topics (or fast learner in the space)
- Robust writing skills — able to sound human, not corporate
- Comfortable with reporting and tracking engagement metrics
- Self-directed, consistent, and patient (organic growth takes time)

Nice to Have

- Prior experience in community management or organic social growth
- Familiarity with cybersecurity awareness/training content
- Experience writing educational or research-style content

Reporting
