Job Description: An accountant for a cement plant manages daily financial operations, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and regulatory compliance at the site level. Key duties include monthly closing, tracking production costs, raw material inventory reconciliation, and preparing MIS reports for management. - Cost Accounting: Analyze production costs (raw materials, power, labor) to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain inventory valuation.
- Inventory Control: Perform physical inventory counts, reconcile, and value stocks (raw materials, fuel, finished cement).
- Financial Reporting: Perform month-end closing, bank reconciliations, and prepare profit & loss accounts and balance sheets.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with GST, tax regulations, and internal audit requirements.
- Operations Coordination: Coordinate with plant, procurement,



and site personnel to track expenditures and verify operational data.
- Budgeting: Assist in creating annual budgets and forecasting, comparing actual performance against standard costs. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Job Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA, CMA, or MBA Preferred).
- Experience: 4-5+ years of accounting experience, specifically within a manufacturing, cement, or heavy engineering workplace.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally), and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and tax compliance
