About the Role

The Department Head – Hospitality & Industry Partnerships will lead the development of an industry-connected hospitality school that prepares students for careers across hospitality, tourism, luxury, events, and experience-led industries.

This role combines academic leadership with strong industry engagement to build a future-ready learning ecosystem through internships, apprenticeships, live industry projects, and placement partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

- Support curriculum implementation and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop faculty members.
- Drive teaching excellence and academic quality.
- Ensure strong student learning outcomes.

Industry Engagement

- Build and strengthen relationships with leading hospitality brands.
- Develop internship and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Facilitate live industry projects and experiential learning initiatives.
- Foster long-term partnerships with industry stakeholders.

Employability & Placements

- Build and manage a strong placement pipeline.
- Engage recruiters across hospitality, tourism, luxury, and related sectors.
- Organize career fairs, networking events, and employer engagement activities.




- Expand the institution's employer network to enhance student career opportunities.

Programme Development

- Identify emerging trends in the hospitality and tourism industry.
- Recommend new programs and specializations aligned with industry needs.
- Support the development of innovative, experience-driven learning initiatives.

External Relations

- Represent the institution at hospitality forums, conferences, and industry events.
- Build strategic partnerships with hotels, luxury brands, tourism organizations, and other industry partners.
- Strengthen the institution's visibility within the hospitality ecosystem.

Ideal Candidate

- 10–15 years of experience in hospitality education leadership or the hospitality industry.
- Solid network within the hospitality, tourism, luxury, or events sectors.
- Proven experience in building internship and placement programs.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with industry partners.
- Passion for experiential learning and industry-integrated education.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
