Role Overview

We are looking for an Interior Stylist who can translate design intent into beautiful, layered, finished spaces. The role sits between design, sourcing, styling, vendor coordination, and final execution.

This person should have a solid eye for aesthetics, be extremely detail-oriented, and be able to work across residential, hospitality, show flats, villas, offices, and lifestyle-led spaces.

Key Responsibilities

1. Styling Concept & Visual Direction

* Understand the project brief, client lifestyle, brand positioning, and space requirements.

* Create styling concepts, moodboards, colour palettes, material references, and visual direction.

* Translate the overall design language into furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, art, accessories, plants, tableware, and décor.

2. Sourcing & Product Selection

* Source furniture, décor, lighting, fabrics, wallpapers, rugs, mirrors, art, accessories, and styling objects.

* Build styling and sourcing sheets with product images, dimensions, pricing, vendor details, quantities, and timelines.

* Work with vendors, artisans, makers, and marketplaces to identify the right products within budget and timeline.

* Suggest alternatives when products are unavailable, delayed, or over budget.

3. Vendor & Procurement Coordination

* Coordinate with vendors for quotes, samples, customisation, production updates, delivery timelines, and quality checks.

* Work closely with procurement/admin teams to close POs, invoices, payments, and delivery schedules.

* Track order status and ensure everything reaches site as per project timeline.

4. Site Styling & Execution

* Visit sites to understand scale, layout, light, finishes, and styling requirements.

* Plan placement of furniture, décor, cushions, rugs, art, lighting, accessories, and soft furnishings.

* Be present during final installation and styling days.

* Ensure the space is finished to Studio December’s visual standard before handover or shoot.

5. Client & Internal Coordination





* Coordinate with the design team, project manager, procurement team, vendors, and client-facing team.

* Present styling options clearly and confidently.

* Incorporate feedback while protecting the aesthetic direction of the project.

* Maintain clear communication on timelines, budgets, delays, and dependencies.

6. Documentation & Tracking

* Maintain updated sourcing sheets, styling BOQs, vendor trackers, delivery trackers, and project checklists.

* Keep records of selected, approved, ordered, delivered, and pending items.

* Ensure final styling inventory is documented project-wise.

Skills Required

* Strong visual sense and understanding of interior styling.

* Good knowledge of furniture, fabrics, lighting, décor, art, materials, and finishes.

* Ability to create moodboards and sourcing decks.

* Strong sourcing ability across online, offline, local markets, artisans, and vendors.

* Good communication and coordination skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Comfortable with site visits and hands-on styling execution.

* Basic understanding of budgets, measurements, and project timelines.

* Canva / PowerPoint / Keynote

* Pinterest

* Basic AutoCAD understanding preferred but not mandatory

* Photoshop or any visual editing tool is a plus

Experience

1–4 years in interior styling, interior design, furniture sourcing, set styling, visual merchandising, or décor curation.

Freshers with a very strong eye, good taste, and willingness to learn may also be considered for junior roles.

Someone who is aesthetic, organised, resourceful, and execution-oriented.

They should be able to walk into an empty or half-finished space and understand exactly what it needs to feel complete, warm, premium, and visually strong.
