About the Role
1. Assistant Professor (Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Mentorship: Deliver engaging lectures, practical lab sessions, and tutorials for B.Pharm and M.Pharm students in alignment with PCI regulations and university curricula.
- Research & Innovation: Engage in active research, publish papers in high-impact indexed journals (SCI/Scopus), and guide undergraduate/postgraduate research projects.
- Curriculum & Lab Management: Assist in updating course material, managing laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Institutional Support: Participate in departmental committees, NAAC/NIRF documentation, student mentoring, and university events.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Education: First Class B.Pharm and M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a PCI-recognized institution. Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Chemistry) is highly preferred (or registered/nearing completion).
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of teaching/research/industrial experience. Fresh Ph.D. graduates with robust research credentials are encouraged to apply.
- Registration: Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
2. Associate Professor (Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Leadership: Lead curriculum planning, advanced course delivery, and development of specialized electives for UG and PG programs.
- Research Leadership & Grants: Drive research initiatives, secure external research grants/funding from agencies like DST, DBAT, ICMR, or SERB,
and publish in top-tier journals.
- Postgraduate & Ph.D. Supervision: Supervise M.Pharm thesis work and Ph.D. scholars in their specialized fields.
- Industry Collaboration: Foster partnerships with pharmaceutical industries, handle consultancy projects, and promote technology transfer or patent filings.
- Accreditation & Governance: Play a pivotal role in maintaining departmental standards for PCI, NAAC, NBA, and NIRF accreditations.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a Specialization in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. First Class B.Pharm and M.Pharm in the relevant discipline from a PCI-recognized institution.
- Publications: A strong publication track record with a minimum of 6 research papers in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals as per PCI/UGC norms.
- Registration: Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
Desired Skills & Attributes
- Strong command over theoretical concepts and practical applications (e.G., novel drug delivery systems, formulation development, organic synthesis, QSAR, spectroscopy, or analytical method validation).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in handling modern analytical instruments (HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, LC-MS) and relevant computational software.
- Proactive mindset toward interdisciplinary research and student mentoring.
