Role Description The Mixologist is a full-time, on-site role based at Bougainvillea Retreat & Spa in Guwahati. This role is responsible for crafting classic and signature cocktails, preparing non-alcoholic beverages, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and closing the bar, maintaining inventory, managing bar cleanliness, and adhering to safety and hygiene standards. The Mixologist will interact directly with guests, take and serve orders, provide recommendations,



and ensure an engaging and courteous bar experience. The role also involves collaborating with the culinary and service teams, assisting with beverage menus, and supporting training for junior bar staff as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Clear and qualified Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
- Practical experience in Food & Beverage operations, including bar setup, service, and inventory handling.
- Culinary Skills related to drink preparation, flavor pairing, garnishing, and basic knowledge of ingredients.
- Ability to participate in or provide Training to colleagues on beverage preparation, service standards, and bar hygiene.
- Previous experience as a bartender or mixologist in hotels, resorts, or upscale bars is preferred.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, mocktails, and current beverage trends, with an interest in developing new recipes.
- Understanding of local regulations related to alcohol service, safety, and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the operation.
- Professional appearance, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
