Role Description The Editor role at GCI VFX PRIVATE LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Editor will assemble, refine, and finalize video and VFX sequences, ensuring that narrative flow, pacing, and visual continuity meet creative and technical standards. Daily tasks include reviewing raw footage and rendered shots, selecting the best takes, integrating visual effects, sound, and graphics, and collaborating closely with directors, VFX supervisors, and producers. The Editor will maintain organized project timelines, adhere to delivery schedules, and prepare multiple versions of content for different platforms and formats. The role also involves providing creative input on storytelling, implementing feedback efficiently,



and ensuring that all deliverables align with the studio’s quality benchmarks.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong video editing skills, including proficiency with professional editing software (e.G., Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid, Final Cut Pro).
- Candidates should possess skills in VFX integration and post-production workflows, including experience working with compositing tools and rendered assets.
- Candidates should possess abilities in visual storytelling, narrative pacing, and structuring content for film, TV, advertising, or digital media.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail for reviewing shots, ensuring continuity, color consistency, audio alignment, and overall quality control.
- Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with directors, VFX artists, sound designers, and production teams.
- Candidates should possess time management and organizational skills, including handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and maintaining clear edit documentation.
- Relevant experience in a post-production or VFX studio setting is beneficial, along with familiarity with industry-standard file formats, codecs, and delivery specifications.
- A diploma or degree in film editing, media production, animation, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
