RTL Design Engineer – Automotive IP (FUSA/ASIL)
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- RTL Design & Development
- Strong hands-on experience in RTL design for automotive IPs, including micro-architecture definition, RTL coding, and integration using SystemVerilog/Verilog.
- Functional Safety (FUSA)
- Solid experience working on FUSA-compliant designs with a clear understanding of ISO 26262 concepts and safety-driven design principles.
- ASIL & Safety Mechanisms
- Prior exposure to ASIL (A/B/C/D) requirements. Experience implementing safety mechanisms such as redundancy, error detection, diagnostics, and safe-state handling.
- End-to-End IP Development
- Experience across the automotive IP development lifecycle—from specification review through RTL implementation to sign-off—while collaborating with architecture, design verification (DV), and safety teams.
- RTL Quality & Compliance
- Hands-on experience with RTL quality checks including Lint, CDC, and RDC.
Ability to analyze and resolve violations in line with safety and quality standards.
- Safety Reviews & Audits
- Ability to support and participate in FUSA/ASIL compliance reviews, safety assessments, and design audits with internal and external stakeholders.
- Documentation & Traceability
- Familiarity with automotive documentation requirements, including safety manuals, design justifications, and traceability artifacts.
- Error Handling & Safety Behavior
- Valuable understanding of safety-driven error handling concepts, including:
- Single-bit vs. multi-bit errors
- Correctable vs. non-correctable errors
- Designing RTL to support detection, reporting, escalation, and safe-state transitions
- All aligned with ISO 26262 and ASIL-B (or higher) safety requirements.
