About Ravel
Ravel is a BSE-listed D2C haircare brand. We run performance ads at scale, and the edit is what makes them work or fail. Every video you cut gets measured on hook rate, hold rate, and ROAS. You will see the numbers on your own edits within days of shipping them.
The Role
80% editing, 20% shooting. You'll cut short-form ad creatives for Meta, work directly with our creative strategist on scripts and concepts, and shoot in-house content when we need it. This is not brand film work. It's fast, high-volume, direct response editing where the first 3 seconds decide everything.
What You'll Do
- Edit 9:16 short-form ad creatives: UGC-style videos, product demos, before-afters, static-to-motion, founder content
- Cut multiple hook variations of the same ad so we can test which opening wins
- Add subtitles, sound design, text overlays, and pacing that hold attention past 3 seconds
- Turn around edits quick. Volume matters here, we ship weekly, not monthly
- Shoot in-house product and content videos: basic lighting, framing, and camera handling for ad content
- Work with the creative strategist to translate scripts into finished ads without needing five rounds of feedback
- Take performance data seriously. If an ad drops off at second 4, you fix second 4
Who Should Apply
- 2+ years editing short-form video, ideally for D2C brands or performance marketing agencies
- Strong on Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut. Speed matters as much as polish
- You understand ad pacing, not cinematic pacing. You know why a jump cut every 2 seconds exists
- Comfortable behind a camera: you can set up a basic shoot, light a product, and get usable footage without a crew
- You can take feedback without ego and turn around a revision same day
- Immediate joiners strongly preferred
