Manager, Platform Services Architecture
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
As a Manager within Network Engineering, this role will lead a team of engineers responsible for services design support, lab testing, technical documentation, Level 4 operations support and hardware deployment. You will ensure high-quality delivery, operational stability, and effective execution across all team activities. This position has direct accountability for complex incident resolution, driving root cause analysis, and improving system reliability through strong Level 4 support processes. You will also lead end-to-end hardware deployment initiatives, including planning, coordination, standards enforcement, and post-deployment validation, ensuring consistency and operational readiness. You will drive best practices across asset management, provisioning standards, fault management, performance monitoring, and security compliance. In collaboration with SES upstream and downstream teams, you will oversee the development and execution of detailed Statements of Work (SOW),



ensuring alignment with technical and business requirements. As a people leader, you will mentor and develop team members, foster a strong training environment for Deployment and Operations teams, and ensure effective escalation management. This role requires a hands-on, execution-focused leader who can balance technical depth with team leadership and continuous operational improvement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
- Provide guidance on all existing and proposed architecture to ensure that the design supports strong performance and that proper monitoring/analytic tools are in place.
- Provide level 4 operational support to the level 1 and 2 NOCs for trouble ticket escalations
- Support the rest of the platform engineering team with hub hardware deployments and assist operations with service activations.
- Ensure that all designs apply consistent methodology with best practices, in order to deliver reliable and secure
