Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Civil Engineering graduates (Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech) to join

our Geotechnical Engineering team as Field Geotechnical Engineers. This field-intensive role provides

hands-on exposure to geotechnical investigations, drilling operations, in-situ testing, soil and rock

sampling, field data collection, and reporting.

The position is ideal for freshers who are eager to build a career in geotechnical engineering and gain

practical experience working on infrastructure projects such as buildings, bridges, highways, tunnels,

dams, embankments, ports, and industrial developments. Selected candidates will work under the

guidance of experienced geotechnical professionals and receive structured on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

Geotechnical Field Investigations

● Assist in geotechnical site investigations including borehole drilling, trial pits, and in-situ

testing.





● Support and monitor drilling operations while coordinating with drilling crews and equipment

operators.

● Observe and document soil and rock strata changes, groundwater conditions, and site

observations.

● Ensure field investigations are conducted in accordance with project specifications and

applicable IS codes.

Soil & Rock Sampling

● Collect disturbed and undisturbed soil and rock samples as per investigation requirements.

● Perform basic visual and manual soil classification including identification of soil type, colour,

consistency, and moisture condition.

● Ensure proper labelling, packaging, preservation, and transportation of samples.

● Maintain accurate sample records and chain-of-custody documentation.

Field Testing

● Assist in conducting geotechnical field tests such as:

○ Standard Penetration Test (SPT)

○ Cone Penetration Test (CPT)

○ Vane Shear Test
