Job Description - Power Electronics Design Lead
Role overview
Lead the end-to-end development and integration of advanced power electronic systems for electric vehicles, renewable energy, and industrial automation. Champion system architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to global safety and performance standards. Resolve complex system-level challenges—including thermal, EMI/EMC, and functional safety—while mentoring engineering teams and fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and integration of power electronic systems—including AC-DC, DC-AC, and DC-DC converters, inverters,—for electric vehicles, renewable energy platforms, and industrial converters. Define system architecture, topology, requirements , and interface specifications for industrial power converters, charging platforms, high-voltage drivetrain systems. Guiding designs from concept to mass production. Collaborate cross-functionally across hardware, software, mechanical, integration,



testing, production, supply chain and project management teams to ensure seamless product development and successful delivery within time. Ensure compliance with relevant international safety and performance standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues related to system behaviour, thermal management, electromagnetic compatibility/interference (EMC/EMI), and power quality. Lead detailed design reviews and ensure comprehensive validation and verification coverage across system interfaces and critical performance metrics, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing where applicable and safety assessments. Ensure the product meets quality, cost and timeline requirements. Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed technical documentation, including schematics, Bills of Materials (BOM), specifications, test protocols, validation reports, and production drawings.
