About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building & Construction Estimator to join a growing commercial construction team delivering major Tier 1 mining infrastructure (NPI) projects across Western Australia.
Working alongside project managers, engineers and senior stakeholders, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for projects ranging from $1 million to $30 million . This is a quick-paced role where you’ll manage multiple tenders simultaneously while ensuring quality, profitability and client expectations are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial and mining infrastructure projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
- Complete quantity take-offs and detailed cost analysis.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Develop accurate pricing for labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages.
- Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal project teams throughout the tender process.
- Manage multiple tenders concurrently while meeting strict submission deadlines.
- Assist with tender handovers to project delivery teams following successful awards.
- Maintain estimating databases and current market pricing information.
About You
- Previous experience as a Commercial or Construction Estimator.
- Strong background estimating commercial building, industrial or mining infrastructure projects.
- Experience pricing projects valued between $1M and $30M .
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tenders at varying stages simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of Australian construction methodologies, contracts and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
