Sr. Manager - EHS Role Purpose: To design, promote, and implement environmental protection, health, safety, and security programs within the plant/unit. Ensures compliance with legal regulations and corporate standards, fosters a proactive safety culture, and supports continuous improvement of EHS performance. May also oversee plant/site security operations, depending on organizational scope. ✅ Key Responsibilities EHS Strategy & Governance Develop, implement, and maintain the Unit/Plant EHS strategy, aligned with corporate EHS policies and local regulations. Lead and manage the EHS management system (ISO , ISO , environmental permits, audits). Establish and maintain emergency preparedness and crisis management plans. Conduct regular EHS governance reviews with plant leadership. Regulatory Compliance Monitor and interpret regulatory and statutory changes related to workplace, health, safety, and security within the plant/site. Ensure full compliance with national, state, and local laws (environmental permits, hazardous waste, occupational safety standards, fire safety).



Interface with regulatory authorities during inspections, audits, and certifications. Risk Prevention & Control Identify potential EHS risks and hazards through risk assessments (HIRA, JSA, environmental impact assessments). Implement preventive and corrective actions to eliminate or reduce risks. Ensure proper functioning of incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis systems. Oversee process safety management (PSM) in units handling high‑risk operations. Environmental Management Lead initiatives related to: Waste management & disposal Air & water quality compliance Hazardous chemical handling Energy optimization and carbon reduction Track environmental KPIs and drive sustainability initiatives. Health & Safety Oversight Maintain strong operational controls for: Safe work procedures (LOTO, work‑at‑height, confined spaces) PPE management Occupational health programs & medical surveil
