Job Title: Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Operations Head

Reports To : Plant Head
Job Summary
The DGM – Operations Head will lead and oversee all manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-effective production while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and productivity. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cross-functional coordination to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day plant operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Develop and implement production plans aligned with business requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GMP (where applicable), EHS, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity, reduce costs, and minimize downtime.
- Monitor plant KPIs including OEE, yield, capacity utilization, quality, and production efficiency.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement,



and Engineering teams for seamless operations.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
- Lead process optimization and continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Manage production budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Build, mentor, and develop production teams while fostering a strong safety culture.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with ISO standards and other applicable regulations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- 12–18 years of experience in chemical manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in specialty chemicals, agrochemicals, petrochemicals, paints, or fine chemical
