Job Description:

- A Graduate Engineer Trainee (Mechanical) will undergo training in the power plant of a steel manufacturing company. The role involves learning plant operations, assisting in maintenance activities, and supporting senior engineers to ensure smooth and efficient power generation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training & Learning
- Learn the working of boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment
- Understand power plant processes and system flow
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers during shifts

2. Operations Support

- Record and monitor plant parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.)
- Assist control room and field operations team
- Report abnormalities or deviations

3. Maintenance Support

- Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
- Participate in equipment inspections (pumps, valves, pipelines)
- Support troubleshooting under supervision

4. Safety Compliance

- Follow all safety procedures and use PPE
- Identify and report potential hazards




- Participate in safety drills and training programs

5. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain log sheets and records
- Prepare basic daily reports
- Support data collection and analysis

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Fresher)
- Basic knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics

Required Skills:

- Basic understanding of mechanical systems
- Solid willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Problem-solving ability

Preferred (Optional):

- Internship or training in power plant or steel industry
- Basic exposure to boilers and turbines

Working Conditions:

- Shift-based work (including night shifts)
- Industrial environment (heat, noise, heavy machinery)
