Job Description:

Primary Role Description: -

- The incumbent will be a part of the advanced descriptive and predictive analytics sub-function to work on analysis/reports/dashboards related to superior risk selection, risk assessment and risk management.
- To help data evidence-based decision-making for the business to enable better understanding and management of the health risks.
- The role requires a good understanding of Health Insurance domain in India and various drivers of profitability.
- Responsible to ensure that the organization has a high visibility on the performance of the products and the portfolio consistently, generating relevant/actionable insights, draw attention to key trends and areas of concern, help evolve solutions and enable implementation across various functions.
- Creating a strong foundation key data points required for the above analysis would be a key responsibility.
- Creating high visibility of health insurance performance indicators to senior management/ key stakeholders
- Perform analysis for monthly/quarterly discussion with stakeholders & highlighting inferences, actionable insights and share recommendations for corrective/preventive action & enable implementation of agreed actions

Key Areas of analytics

- Claim ratio, incidence rates across channels, products, locations, agents,



partners etc.
- Claim analytics – across products, perks, bill components, customer & provider segments
- Underwriting: consistent monitoring of nature of risk on-boarded vs claim outcomes to support improvements in risk selection process

Build and strengthen data foundation:

- Ensure maintenance and easy availability of quality data in SAS-enabled analytics environment that can be readily used to perform regular/ ad-hoc analytics
- Improve scope and quality of data collected/captured/made available for analysis
- Create and maintain supporting documentation/ SOPs

Key Requirements - Experience & Skills

- Graduate / post-graduate. Specialization in insurance/maths/ stats/B-tech will be of advantage years in insurance analytics
- Valuable knowledge of other analytics or reporting tools – SAS, SQL, PythonR, Power BI, Tableau will be useful
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is a must,
- Insurance/ Health Care Background will be preferable.

- Ability to work with the ‘big picture’ of the organization in mind
- Ability to interact, collaborate and work with diverse teams
