Job Description
: Review and scrutinize pre-alert documents received for all import shipments (Air & Sea). Track and monitor shipment status for Air and Sea consignments. Verify Customs Tariff Heading (CTH) classifications using the Customs Tariff Book and customs portal whenever clarification is required. Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with customs regulations and company procedures. Prepare and maintain daily shipment checklists, handling an average of 12–15 shipments per day. Segregate and organize documentation for submission to the Filing Team for Bill of Entry (BOE) filing. Coordinate with the Operations Team to monitor shipment progress and clearance timelines. Update shipment status accurately in the operating software/system. Open and maintain Meridian jobs in accordance with operational requirements. Any Bachelor’s degree. 5–7 years of experience in Import Documentation, EDI Operations. Working knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classifications, and BOE filing processes.
