Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Copy Editor with solid language editing expertise and an academic editing background for our Books team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy in manuscripts while adhering to publisher guidelines and academic standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform language editing on academic book manuscripts for grammar, clarity, tone, and readability.
- Ensure adherence to style guides (Chicago, APA, MLA, etc.) and publisher requirements.
- Edit content for consistency, coherence, and logical flow.
- Check and standardize references, citations, and bibliographies.
- Work closely with authors, proofreaders, and production teams.
- Ensure accuracy in figures, tables, captions, and cross-references.
- Maintain high quality standards and turnaround time.
