This is a full time role for a Mechanical Designer at Guardell located in Chennai.

Role & responsibilities

- Experience developing product design and manufacturing.
- Good skills in Cad modeling, assembling & drafting.
- Ability to design special purpose vehicle products and its processes, knowledge in emergency response vehicle design like ambulance, rescue truck, fire truck shall be preferred.
- Capability to create 3D models and drawings of products using CAD software; knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD is a must.
- Capable of researching new product ideas and methods.
- Capability to understand existing products and their design processes and ability to improve the process.
- Good understanding of international standards (NFPA, EN, SAE, ASME) being used in customizing vehicles design and ensure compliance with the industrys safety standards.

- Capable of coordinating with other engineers, and manufacturing department to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed design.

Preferred candidate profile

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Good experience of 3D software SolidWorks, AutoCAD etc.
- Good communication skill, oral and written in English.
