Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shift Incharge to oversee the aluminium alloy production during shift operations. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of alloy grade preparation, raw material selection, batch formulation, melting practices, and quality control. The role involves end-to-end shift responsibility for producing alloy grades like ADC-12, AC4B, AlSi7Mg,AC4CH, AlSi9Cu3,AlSi10Mg, AlSi12, KS-1275 etc., as per customer and BIS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Aluminium Alloy Grade Manufacturing

- Execute and monitor production of various aluminium alloy grades as per customer specifications and internal standards (e.g., BIS, JIS).
- Maintain accurate alloy chemistry by controlling the input material and furnace parameters.
- Coordinate with the quality lab for in-process and final chemical composition testing.

2. Raw Material Management

- Verify quality and quantity of incoming raw materials like primary aluminium, scrap, master alloys, modifiers, grain refiners, and fluxes.
- Ensure correct segregation, charging sequence, and usage of raw materials.
- Maintain raw material consumption records and reduce wastage.

3. Batch Mixing & Furnace Charging

- Prepare and validate alloy batch mix charts based on required chemical composition.
- Supervise charging of furnaces and ensure proper melting practices.
- Monitor slag removal, dross handling,



and fluxing operations.

4. Quality Control & Compliance

- Ensure that molten metal meets the desired chemical and mechanical properties.
- Follow BIS/ISO/IATF quality procedures and coordinate with the QA team for analysis and documentation.
- Implement corrective actions in case of chemical deviations or customer complaints.

5. Shift Operations & Reporting

- Manage manpower, shift planning, and process monitoring during the shift.
- Maintain shift-wise production logs, consumption data, and downtime analysis.
- Coordinate with maintenance and utility teams to minimize equipment breakdowns.

6. Safety & Housekeeping

- Ensure safe working practices during all melting and casting operations.
- Enforce PPE usage, housekeeping, and emergency protocols during the shift.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of aluminium metallurgy and alloy chemistry
- Hands-on experience with ADC-12, LM6, LM25, AlSi7Mg, etc.
- Expertise in batch mix calculation and raw material selection
- Familiar with emission control and flux treatment methods
- Ability to lead a production team under pressure
- Knowledge of BIS, ISO, IATF quality standards
- Positive computer skills for ERP entry and report generation
