A. Strategic EHS Leadership & Governance

Define, own, and continuously evolve the organisation-wide EHS strategy, policy framework, standards, and SOPs for all Solar EPC projects.

Represent EHS at Board / Executive level; present safety KPIs, risk landscape, and improvement roadmaps to the CEO and leadership team.

Build, lead, and mentor the entire Safety team including Safety Managers, Site Safety Officers, and EHS coordinators across all locations. Designation: Head Safety (EHS) Department: EHS / Technical Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director Job Location: Head Office with frequent visits to all project sites

B. Compliance & Zero-Incident Culture

Ensure strict adherence to: o Statutory safety laws and labour regulations (Factories Act, Building & Other Construction Workers Act, etc.)

- Client / lender safety guidelines and contractual EHS obligations o Company EHS policies, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards

- Champion a zero fatality, zero LTI (Lost Time Injury) culture across the entire organisation and supply chain.

Implement proactive hazard identification, risk assessment (HIRA), and organisation-level control measures.

C. Accident, Incident & Medical Management

- Own the investigation and management of all accidents, near-miss incidents, and unsafe acts / conditions across all sites.

Ensure immediate medical care, hospitalisation,



insurance coordination, and comprehensive worker support in case of any injury.

- Ensure full compliance with Labour laws, ESI requirements, and Workmen Compensation obligations.

D. Audit & Government Liaison

Act as the highest authority and single point of contact for all safety audits by Government safety departments, Factory Inspectorate, Labour Department, Electrical Inspector, and Client / Third-party auditors.

Ensure timely preparation of sites for audits, address all non-conformities, and drive closure of audit observations within defined timelines

E. Safety Systems, Processes & Documentation

- Approve and govern organisation-wide safety manuals, method statements, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), emergency response plans, and permit-to-work systems.

Ensure accurate maintenance of all safety registers, incident logs, PPE records, training records, and statutory documentation across all sites.

G. Coordination With Internal & External Stakeholders

Partner closely with CEO, CTO, Project Execution Heads, and Business Unit Leaders to embed EHS into project planning and execution from the design stage.

Coordinate with HR for labour compliance, medical records, and worker welfare; with Procurement for PPE standards, EHS vendor approvals, and subcontractor safety requirements.
