Role & responsibilities:

1. AGM/DGM/General Manager Business Development & Approvals will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and managing statutory and regulatory approvals required for project development and execution. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, government authorities, consultants, and external agencies to ensure timely project approvals while supporting the organization's commercial objectives.

2. The Manager / Senior Manager Business Development & Approvals will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing new business opportunities for Wind Energy projects. The role will focus on project origination, land aggregation, statutory approvals, government liaison, and stakeholder management to ensure timely development and execution of utility-scale and C&I; wind power projects.

Business Development

- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand market presence.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, government departments, consultants, developers, and strategic partners.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and partnership opportunities.
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and business feasibility studies.
- Support bid preparation, tender participation, and commercial proposals.

Approvals & Liaison

- Lead the end-to-end approval process for new and ongoing projects.
- Coordinate with Central, State, and Local Government Authorities for obtaining statutory approvals, licenses, and clearances.
- Ensure timely acquisition of environmental, municipal, electrical, fire,



pollution control, and other regulatory approvals, as applicable.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, utilities, and external consultants to expedite approvals.
- Monitor changes in government regulations and assess their impact on ongoing and future projects.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and compliance records related to approvals.

Stakeholder Management

- Build strong relationships with government officials, regulatory authorities, and industry associations.
- Coordinate with Legal, Engineering, Projects, Finance, Commercial, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Represent the organization during meetings with external stakeholders and government agencies.

Project Coordination

- Track project approval timelines and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular status updates and MIS reports to senior leadership.
- Support project teams in achieving milestones within defined timelines.

Government Liaison & Regulatory Approvals

- Coordinate with Central and State Government authorities for obtaining statutory approvals.
- Liaise with agencies such as:
- GEDA (Gujarat Energy Development Agency)
- GETCO
- SLDC
- DISCOMs
- Revenue Department
- Forest Department
- Pollution Control Board
- District Administration
- Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE),



where applicable

- Obtain approvals related to:

- Land conversion and land use
- Right of Way (RoW)
- Grid connectivity
- Evacuation approvals
- Environmental and statutory clearances
- Transmission approvals

- Ensure timely submission of applications and regulatory documentation.

Strategic Initiatives

- Develop approval roadmaps for upcoming projects.
- Identify risks related to regulatory approvals and propose mitigation plans.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance approval efficiency and reduce turnaround time.

Preferred candidate profile:

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Renewable Energy, or related discipline).
- MBA (Marketing, Power Management, Energy Management, or Finance) will be preferred.

- 1218 years of experience in Business Development, Government Liaison, Regulatory Approvals, or Commercial functions.
- Experience in infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate, industrial projects, manufacturing, or EPC organizations will be preferred.
- Proven experience in dealing with government authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Solid understanding of statutory approval processes and commercial negotiations.

- Manager: 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Senior Manager: 10-14 years of relevant experience.

Candidates should have hands-on experience in:

- Wind Energy project development
- Government approvals
- Renewable energy business development
- Utility-scale or C&I; renewable projects
- Land acquisition coordination
- Regulatory and statutory compliance

Experience with leading renewable energy companies, IPPs, EPC contractors, or developers will be preferred.
