JOB PURPOSE:

The Apprentice Technical Consultant (Troubleshooting & Support Track) role focuses on equipping fresh engineering graduates or diploma holders with practical skills in diagnostic analysis, fault isolation, and technical problem-solving for B-to-B electrical and automation systems. Acting as an apprentice under senior technical experts, the candidate will learn how to debug, test, and resolve technical issues for industrial clients in Ahmedabad. The role bridges academic technical principles with fast-paced, real world troubleshooting across industrial automation, drive systems, switchgears, and power distribution infrastructures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. External Communication :

- Travel alongside senior field engineers to client factories, processing plants, and project sites around Gujarat to observe and assist in live system troubleshooting, repairs, and product recalibrations.
- Document incoming customer technical complaints, systematically log specific malfunction parameters, and handle client inquiries.
- Interact with site engineers and plant technicians to ask structured diagnostic questions regarding equipment issues and downtimes.

2. Internal Communication:

- Support senior technical consultants and field engineers during physical or digital root cause investigations.
- Maintain an organized technical knowledge base, meticulously tracking common failure modes, steps taken to resolve issues, and manufacturer compliance inputs.




- Prepare highly accurate draft Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports with clear technical timelines for senior review and approval.
- Coordinate local office lab bench operations to recreate client-reported hardware issues, test replacements, and report firmware or configuration fixes.
- Log operational activities and report progress toward internal targets regarding incoming technical queries to the branch management team.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

- A solid logical approach to breaking down system operations and systematically identifying hardware, wiring, or logical component faults.
- Good foundational capacity to interpret electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring schematics, and product logic flowcharts.
- Basic awareness or exposure to tools like digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, loop calibrators, and diagnostic communication software.
- Ability to remain calm and focused when handling critical client equipment downtimes or urgent support calls.
- Capability to ask structural diagnostic questions to clients; professional proficiency in English, with functional fluency in Gujarati or Hindi to converse comfortably with site engineers and plant technicians.

CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE:

- Fresh Graduate Engineer in Electrical/Electronics/ Telecommunication from reputed Institute
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.

LOCATION:

- The role is based in Ahmedabad
- Travel shall be any part of India
