Role Overview
We are seeking a highly meticulous and research-driven individual to lead the comprehensive documentation and archiving of artists and their works. This role involves building detailed, structured databases through extensive research across a wide range of primary and secondary sources.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct in-depth research across auction house records, exhibition catalogues, books, archives, and other relevant sources
- Compile and maintain comprehensive databases of artists works, including provenance, exhibition history, and publication records
- Review and analyse exhibition histories to develop a deeper understanding of each artist’s practice and evolution
- Cross-reference multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
- Organise and structure data into clear, accessible archival formats




- Continuously identify gaps in existing documentation and source additional material to strengthen records

Requirements

- Bachelor's in Arts / Fine Arts
- 12 months work experience (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach to research and documentation
- Valuable understanding of art history, artistic mediums, and practices (with a focus on modern and/or contemporary art preferred)
- Familiarity with auction houses, cataloguing systems, and the broader art ecosystem
- Ability to navigate and synthesise information from diverse and sometimes fragmented sources
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Prior experience in art research, archiving, or cataloguing is preferred
