Role & responsibilities

1. Network Design and Implementation:

- Design, configure, and deploy network solutions to meet business requirements.
- Develop network architecture and documentation, including diagrams and technical specifications.
- Implement and maintain network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.

2. Network Troubleshooting and Support:

- Diagnose and resolve network issues using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Provide level 3 support for escalated network problems, incidents, and service requests.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent network outages or performance degradation.

3. Network Security:

- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control policies.
- Monitor network traffic for security threats and vulnerabilities, and take necessary actions to mitigate risks.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies,



and recommend enhancements to ensure network security compliance.

4. Network Performance and Optimization:

- Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Optimize network configurations and protocols to enhance performance and reliability.
- Conduct network capacity planning to ensure scalability and effective resource utilization.

5. Collaboration and Documentation:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand networking requirements and provide technical expertise.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of network-related policies, standards, and best practices.
