Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings for steel structures, workshop layouts, and piping systems.
- Develop and maintain accurate 2D drawings and 3D models based on engineering designs and project specifications.
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, detailed fabrication drawings, piping layouts, and related documentation.
- Independently prepare drawings once the engineering concept or design scheme has been explained.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on approved drawings and project specifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs, prepare material estimates,
and assist in project costing and estimation.
- Revise drawings based on engineering comments and ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings.
Required Skills
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Tekla, or equivalent).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Solid understanding of steel structures, workshop layouts, and piping systems.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation, BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, and basic project costing.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy.
Qualifications
- ITI Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Draftsmanship from a recognized institution.
