Role Overview:
This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors and vendors by resolving their issues, improving collaboration, and ensuring a smooth working experience. The person acts as a bridge between vendors and internal teams such as Procurement, Construction, Finance, and Accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve vendor issues related to contracts, billing, payments, compliance, and project execution.
- Identify root causes of recurring problems and implement long-term process improvements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Build solid, trust-based relationships with vendors and conduct regular review meetings.
- Monitor vendor performance, maintain MIS reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Visit project sites when required to resolve on-ground execution challenges.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, BOQs, and vendor management.
- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- B.E./B.Tech. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years in MEP.
- Experience with real estate developers, EPC companies, or large contractors, along with vendor/contractor relationship management and willingness to travel across project sites.
