Role & responsibilities

Legal Coordination & Follow-Up

- Coordinate with external legal consultants, compliance advisors, company secretarial consultants, IP consultants, and other professional advisors as required.
- Understand instructions received from consultants/advisors and ensure timely internal execution.
- Arrange meetings, visits, document submissions, follow-ups, and status updates with legal advisors and consultants.
- Maintain proper communication records and ensure all legal tasks are followed through until closure.
- Escalate delays, risks, gaps, or unresolved legal matters to senior management in a timely manner.

Legal Documentation & Drafting Support

- Assist in preparing, reviewing, formatting, and maintaining legal documents such as agreements, MoUs, NDAs, consultancy agreements, vendor/customer contracts, appointment/legal letters, undertakings, declarations, authorisation letters, internal legal notes, and related records.
- Prepare first-level drafts based on approved templates and guidance from legal advisors.
- Ensure all contracts and legal documents are routed through the approved review and execution process.
- Maintain version control, executed copies, renewal records, and approval trails of all legal documents.

Compliance Management

- Maintain compliance calendars, trackers, checklists, and records as per the SOPs set by the organisation.
- Ensure timely follow-up and completion of recurring compliance tasks across assigned legal and statutory areas.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for obtaining documents, information, signatures, approvals, and submissions.
- Track compliance status and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
- Maintain records of filings, acknowledgements, certificates, registrations, licences, renewals,



and statutory documentation.

Corporate, IP & Business Legal Support

- Assist in matters relating to company law, corporate governance, board/shareholder documentation, and statutory records in coordination with CS/legal consultants.
- Coordinate matters relating to trademarks, copyrights, brand protection, IP filings, renewals, oppositions, responses, and documentation.
- Support litigation-related documentation, notices, replies, case papers, and follow-ups with advocates, where applicable.
- Keep organised records of all active legal matters, pending actions, next dates, and responsible persons.

Internal Process & SOP Compliance

- Follow legal and compliance SOPs strictly and ensure documentation is completed in the prescribed format.
- Maintain a centralised legal and compliance repository with updated records.
- Ensure confidentiality and controlled access to sensitive legal, commercial, and business documents.
- Support implementation and adoption of digital systems for agreement management, e-signatures, document tracking, and compliance reporting.
- Ensure no legal document is executed without proper review, approval, and record-keeping as per company process.

Legal Updates & Risk Awareness

- Stay updated with relevant legal, regulatory, statutory, and compliance developments applicable to the companys business.
- Track developments in areas such as company law,



intellectual property, contracts, labour laws, data protection, commercial laws, and industry-specific regulations.
- Share relevant updates with management in a concise and actionable manner.
- Identify potential compliance gaps or legal risks and bring them to the attention of senior management/advisors.

Preferred candidate profile

- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in corporate legal, compliance, contract management, legal coordination, or related roles.
- Experience in manufacturing, publishing, healthcare communication, pharma, media, technology, or professional services organisations will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in coordinating with legal consultants, advocates, company secretaries, IP attorneys, and compliance advisors is preferred.
- LL.B. from a recognised university is mandatory.
- Additional qualification in Company Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Compliance, or Corporate Law will be preferred.
- Candidates with practical exposure to corporate legal, contracts, compliance, IP, and consultant coordination will be preferred.
