Role Description

- Procurement of chemicals from domestic and international markets based on business requirements.
- Vendor identification, development, relationship management, and commercial negotiations to achieve optimum cost, quality, and delivery.
- Creation and processing of Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Monitoring and tracking domestic and international market trends, raw material prices, and supplier developments.
- Sound understanding of chemical products, formulations, reactions, specifications, safety requirements, and handling standards.
- End-to-end supplier relationship management across both PU (Polyurethane) and Non-PU product categories.
- Ensuring timely procurement and uninterrupted supply of raw materials to support production and business operations.
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Production,



Planning, and Logistics, to meet procurement requirements.
- Evaluating supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and statutory requirements.
- Managing import procurement activities, including coordination with freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics partners.
- Maintaining procurement records, MIS reports, and documentation for audits and management review.

Qualifications

- Graduate (B.tech Chemical B.S.C is preferable).
- Excellent relationships with chemical industry supplier principals
- Must have working knowledge of multiple industries while procuring chemicals
- along with an understanding of the latest industry trends.
- Past experience in ensuring optimal sourcing, inventory and purchase strategies
- Past experience in collaborating with multiple departments
- Minimum 6 to 7 years of experience in the Chemical Trading industry
- A agile candidate from the poly-urethane or specialty chemicals would be ideal
- Candidates must be willing to travel
- Self-starter and a self-motivated individual
- Excellent communication, spreadsheet and power-point skills

Salary 5 to 6 lacs per annum
