- Assess the purity, weight, and quality of gold ornaments using approved testing methods and equipment.
- Determine the eligible loan amount based on company policies and prevailing gold rates.
- Identify counterfeit, adulterated, or tampered gold and prevent fraudulent transactions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of gold valuation reports and loan records.
- Support quick loan processing and ensure disbursement within the defined Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Verify KYC and other required documents before loan processing.
- Ensure secure handling, tagging, and storage of pledged gold ornaments.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of customer information and pledged assets.
- Adhere to RBI regulations, company policies, audit requirements, and operational guidelines.
- Assist during internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Coordinate with branch staff for customer service and operational efficiency.
- Conduct periodic revaluation and stock verification of pledged gold, as required.
- Provide basic awareness and guidance to branch staff on gold valuation practices.
