Title: We are looking for a Dynamics 365 F&O; (Finance & Operations) developer. This role requires a blend of ERP business logic, cloud architecture, and technical coding skills to customize and integrate enterprise back-office systems.
Job Description: Core Technical & Coding Skills
? X++ and C#: The candidate must be proficient in writing and debugging X++ (the
proprietary object-oriented language for F&O;) and utilizing .NET/C# for extended
capabilities.
? Data Management: Ability to create and modify Data Entities and use the Data
Management Framework (DMF) for importing/exporting large datasets.
? Integrations: Expertise in building and consuming APIs using OData for real-time
transactions and REST/JSON or SOAP/XML for external system integrations.
? Reporting: Hands-on experience developing and deploying SSRS reports and
integrating F&O; data with Power BI.
Platform & Architecture
? Visual Studio & Azure: The candidate must be highly familiar with developing in
Visual Studio, leveraging source control (like Azure DevOps), and managing
cloud deployments.
? Power Platform: Understanding of integrating F&O; with low-code tools like Power
Automate (for workflows) and Power Apps (for custom interfaces).
? Lifecycle Services (LCS): Understanding how to manage code promotion, apply
updates, and troubleshoot performance.
Key Functional & Behavioral Requirements
? Module Knowledge: A solid grasp of back-office modules such as General
Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Supply Chain Management, or Production
Control.
? Extensibility over Customization: The ability to use extensions and event
handlers to modify system behavior without altering base application components
(the "no-code/low-code" or extension-first approach).
Industry Credentials
? Certifications: Microsoft offers the widely recognized Dynamics 365: Finance and
Operations Apps Developer Associate certification (Exam MB-500).
? Certified in Microsoft Dynamics AX is valuable to have.
