Department- Indirect procurement for multiple manufacturing units across India

Qualification- BE / B. Tech (preferably in Mechanical / Electronics

Experience: At least 12-14 years of relevant Indirect procurement experience in manufacturing, Tyre, automotive, engineering, cement, steel, power, or process industries. Experience in handling small to medium plant Capex procurement.

- Must have in-depth knowledge of SAP MM module for procurement operations, contract management, PR/PO processing, inventory coordination, and reporting.
- Should have experience in strategic procurement activities for MRO, Indirect Raw Materials- coal, biomass, fuels, lubricants and services across multiple manufacturing locations
- Should be able to manage and lead a team of 8-10 people.
- Must have valuable communication skills.
- Purpose of the Position

To lead strategic procurement activities for MRO, Indirect Raw Materials (IRM), plant consumables, engineering spares, project procurement, and services across multiple manufacturing locations while ensuring optimum cost, quality, delivery, compliance, and inventory optimization.

The role is responsible for developing category sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving procurement excellence, handling cross-functional stakeholder coordination,



and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support operational efficiency and business growth.

The incumbent should possess strong commercial acumen, technical understanding of industrial procurement, and capability to manage complex sourcing requirements in a multi-location manufacturing environment.

- Skills, Knowledge & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in strategic procurement and category management.
- In-depth knowledge of MRO procurement, industrial spares, engineering consumables, and indirect material sourcing.
- Strong exposure to procurement of coal, biomass, fuels, lubricants, and utility-related categories.
- Knowledge of Tyre manufacturing machinery spares and plant maintenance procurement processes.
- Experience in handling small to medium plant Capex procurement.
- Strong negotiation, commercial evaluation, and contract management skills.
- Excellent vendor management and supplier development capabilities.
- Sound understanding of inventory management and procurement planning concepts.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in SAP MM module and procurement systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement analytics/reporting tools.
