Role & responsibilities

The Banquet Sales Manager is responsible for generating banquet and event business by identifying new clients, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring successful execution of events. The role involves managing sales for weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, exhibitions, conferences, and other special occasions while coordinating with internal teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

- Generate banquet and event sales through corporate clients, wedding planners, event organizers, travel agencies, and individual customers.
- Identify new business opportunities through field visits, networking, referrals, and cold calling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct client meetings, venue tours, and presentations.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual banquet sales targets.
- Prepare and negotiate quotations, contracts, and event proposals.
- Follow up on leads and convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Develop strategies to increase banquet occupancy and revenue.

Event Coordination

- Coordinate with clients to understand event requirements and expectations.
- Work closely with the Operations, Kitchen, F&B;, and Decor teams to ensure smooth event execution.
- Attend pre-event meetings and oversee arrangements on event days.
- Ensure all client requirements are fulfilled within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly.

Revenue & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records of inquiries, bookings, and sales activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Monitor banquet revenue, forecasting, and event calendars.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

Customer Relationship Management

- Maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners,



event agencies, and repeat customers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Collect customer feedback and implement service improvements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 36 years of experience in banquet sales, hospitality sales, or event sales.
- Experience in hotels, banquet venues, wedding venues, luxury event spaces, or convention centers is preferred.
