Position Title: Project Associate Shakti Saarthi

Number of Position: 1

Reporting: Gender Lead

Location: Delhi

Grade: C

Type: Project Based

Qualification Required: Post-graduate degree or diploma in Social Work, Gender Studies, Development Studies, Public Health, Rural Development, or a related discipline in social development, human rights, or women s empowerment.

Experience Required:

- Minimum 2 3 of experience in handling projects on gender justice, GBV prevention and response, women s protection, or social sector program management.
- Prior experience with government institutions such as OSCs, shelter homes, DLSA, or health systems is strongly preferred.

Skills and Attributes:

- Sound knowledge of gender-based violence and survivor-centred, multi sectoral GBV response systems in India.
- Familiarity with Mission Shakti structures, including OSCs and Shakti Sadans.
- Robust project coordination with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office , including a costed model site framework to inform national scale-up.
- Functional economic empowerment pathways Shakti Sadan residents, linking skills, livelihoods, and exit planning to local market opportunities.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Operations Management
- Planning, Coordination Implementation
- Support the Gender Lead in oversight of the project workplan, tracking milestones, activities, and budget utilization.
- Coordinate logistics all activities stakeholder meetings, capacity-building workshops, follow-up visits, and community outreach including scheduling, venue, travel, and documentation.




- Liaise with OSC Administrators, Shakti Sadan in charges, District Magistrates, CMOs, SPs, and DLSA representatives to facilitate smooth rollout of project activities.
- Support onboarding and day-to-day management of technical agencies and consultants, ensuring deliverables are received on time and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with PCI s finance, grants, and operations teams to ensure compliance with PCI and UNFPA procurement and financial management policies.
- Maintain a real-time project tracker covering activity status, expenditure, travel schedules, and stakeholder engagement.

- Capacity Building Site Support

- Provide end-to-end logistical support capacity-building sessions in collaboration with the identified agency by UNFPA at OSCs and Shakti Sadans, including venue arrangements, participant mobilization, material distribution, and attendance records.
- Track implementation of project activities and ensure post-training learnings.
- Roll out the outreach and media plan developed by UNFPA adapted to the local context.
- Coordination regarding the development of IEC material, translation, printing, and installation at all OSC sites.
- Facilitate community outreach meetings with stakeholders, including Panchayat representatives, SHG members, ASHAs, AWWs, and other frontline workers, to ensure effective dissemination of program information and sustained community engagement.
