Role & responsibilities

- The incumbent will play a critical role in advancing the adoption of NPCI's payment products and digital solutions across government-led initiatives, national programs, and public sector organizations.
- The position provides a platform to work closely with senior policymakers, decision-makers, regulators, and institutional stakeholders to support the Government of India's vision of Digital India, financial inclusion, transparent governance, and digital transformation. The role requires developing trusted relationships with key stakeholders, understanding policy priorities, identifying emerging opportunities, and translating strategic initiatives into meaningful business outcomes.
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence the adoption of innovative payment solutions such as UPI, RuPay, NACH, BBPS, AePS, FASTag, Commercial Credit Cards, and other digital payment products across government and public sector ecosystems. The role will involve working at the intersection of government relations, business development, policy engagement, and payment innovation, enabling the candidate to create measurable impact at a national scale. In addition, the role will provide exposure to high-impact strategic initiatives, government modernization programs, digital governance projects, and public sector transformation opportunities.
- The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Business Development, Compliance, Legal, Partnerships, and Operations to design and implement customized solutions for government stakeholders.

Government Relationship Management

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with officials across Central Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Regulatory Bodies, and Public Sector Enterprises.
- Build strategic engagement plans for key government stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Facilitate high-level meetings, presentations, workshops, and consultations with government bodies.

• Represent the organization at government forums, industry events, and policy discussions.

NPCI Product Adoption & Digital Payments

- Drive the adoption and integration of NPCI products and digital payment solutions across various Government of India schemes, programs, and initiatives.
- Partner with government departments to identify opportunities for enhancing citizen service delivery and digital payment acceptance.
- Promote solutions such as UPI, RuPay, AePS, NACH, BBPS, FASTag, and other NPCI products within the public sector ecosystem.
- Engage with stakeholders to support digital transformation initiatives aligned with the Government's Digital India and financial inclusion objectives.

Commercial Credit Portfolio Management

- Develop engagement strategies for Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and government-owned organizations.
- Identify opportunities for implementing commercial credit card solutions and digital payment products within public sector entities.

• Leverage prior experience and industry knowledge in commercial credit cards, expense management, procurement payments, and corporate payment solutions to drive adoption among government and public sector customers.

• Work closely with banking partners and government organizations to promote innovative payment solutions. -

Business Development & Strategic Initiatives

- Identify emerging opportunities arising from government programs, policy initiatives, and budget announcements.
- Collaborate with internal product, partnership, and business teams to develop tailored solutions for government customers.
- Support opportunity qualification, account planning, and stakeholder mapping activities.




- Drive strategic initiatives that enhance the organization's presence and engagement within the government ecosystem.

Policy & Market Intelligence

- Monitor policy developments, government priorities, budget allocations, and regulatory changes impacting digital payments and financial services.
- Prepare stakeholder briefs, policy notes, market intelligence reports, and executive presentations.
- Conduct research on government modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including product, business development, operations, compliance, and legal teams to ensure successful execution of government-led initiatives.
- Support proposal development, business cases, partnership frameworks, and implementation planning.
- Maintain accurate records of stakeholder engagements, opportunities, and project progress.
