We are having an opening for IT Technical Project Manager - GCC Chennai
Job Description: The IT Technical Project Manager is the tactical delivery engine for the India GCC IT build. While the Head of IT provides strategic direction and architecture decisions, this role drives day-to-day program execution, owning the master project plan, coordinating vendor deliverables across all tech stack workstreams, managing the RFP and vendor selection process for India-owned tools, and ensuring that every technology initiative from physical infrastructure to enterprise SaaS goes live on schedule and within budget.
This is a high-velocity, high-visibility role in the first 18 months of the GCC. The incumbent will be managing 1015 concurrent workstreams ranging from ISP commissioning and network build-out to HRMS/payroll go-live, ERP India entity configuration, data platform standup, and cybersecurity baseline rollout and driving structured onboarding of AI tools as part of the GCC's Human + AI operating model. Post build-out, the role transitions to program managing the continuous enhancement and scale-up of the GCC tech stack through Year 2 and Year 3.

Key RequirementsIT Programme Planning & Delivery
- Master Program Plan: Own and maintain the GCC IT master program plan covering all workstreams (network, identity, endpoints, HRMS, ERP, ITSM, data, engineering software, physical security, AV) with milestones, dependencies, owners, and RAG status, update weekly and present in steering committee.
- RAID Management: Maintain the Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies (RAID) log, proactively escalate to IT Head and relevant stakeholders, drive resolution with urgency.
- Phase Gate Management: Manage Phase 0 (pre-mobilization), Phase (foundations/Day 1),Phase 2 (go-live), and Phase 3 (stabilization) gates, ensure go/no-go criteria are met before progressing, document sign-off.
- Parallel Workstream Coordination: Coordinate across 1015 concurrent workstreams, identify and resolve cross-workstream dependencies (e.g., identity must be ready before endpointonboarding, ISP must be live before network build commences).
- Budget Tracking: Maintain the live BoM tracker (Y1Y3), record actuals from vendor invoices, reconcile monthly with Finance, flag variances and change requests to the IT Head.
- Service Delivery Model Tracking: Track the evolution of IT service delivery from build- phase operations to a mature, service-oriented GCC model; maintain the service catalogue work-in-progress as a programme deliverable; coordinate with Finance on chargeback model design and validate multi-entity cost allocation logic before Y2 steady state.
- Human + AI Onboarding Coordination: Track AI productivity tool rollouts (M365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, domain AI assistants) as formal programme workstreams; coordinate with the IT Head and Group CDO team on adoption governance, usage metrics, and acceptable-use policy compliance; report Human + AI onboarding progress in the weekly programme dashboard.
Vendor Selection, Procurement & Contract Management
- RFP Issuance & Evaluation: Draft and issue RFPs for all India-owned tech stack components (ITSM, HRMS/Payroll, internet circuits, LAN/Wi-Fi, AV, MFDs, physical security, data platform, GST/e-invoicing), run shortlist scoring, manage proof-of-concept where required.
- Vendor Selection: Coordinate evaluation panels (IT Head,
relevant business SMEs, Finance, Legal), prepare recommendation papers, present to IT Head for final decision.
- Contract & MSA Management: Work with Legal and Procurement to execute vendor contracts, track milestone-based payments, manage warranty, AMC, and renewal calendars.
- KSA Leverage: Identify opportunities to leverage existing KSA group volume agreements (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Autodesk, CrowdStrike, etc.) for India, coordinate with KSA Group Procurement and confirm license terms cover India offshore usage.When coordinating Oracle Fusion licensing and intercompany configuration with the KSA team, specifically track multi-entity governance artefacts intercompany rules, chart of accounts alignment,
- and cross-entity reporting scope as formal programme deliverables requiring sign-off from both GCC Finance and KSA Group Finance before go-live.
- Vendor Performance: Set up a vendor scorecard, track monthly SLAs for all active vendors, escalate SLA breaches, manage vendor relationship reviews quarterly.
- Tech Stack Catalogue Ownership: Own the living Tech Stack Catalogue document, maintain Owner, Options, Decision, and Status columns, drive all outstanding open questions to closure.
Tech Stack Onboarding Key Workstream Ownership
- Foundational / Infra: Dual ILL + SD-WAN provisioning, LAN/Wi-Fi 6 build-out, server room commissioning (racks, UPS, cooling, BMS, fire suppression), physical security (access control,
- CCTV, turnstiles).
- Identity & Collaboration: Microsoft Entra ID India extension, M365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) tenant configuration and user onboarding, MDM/Intune autopilot setup.
- Endpoint Management: Laptop/workstation procurement (standard corporate + engineer ISV- certified configs), asset tagging, Intune autopilot imaging, spare pool management.
- ITSM & Asset Management: Freshservice / Zoho/ ServiceNow ITSM implementation, CMDB population from asset register, helpdesk tier-1/2/3 workflow configuration, SLA definition.
- HRMS & India Payroll: Darwinbox (or selected HRMimplementation, statutory payroll configuration (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, Gratuity), integration to Oracle Fusion group HRMS, first payroll run UAT.
- ERP India Entity (Oracle Fusion Priority): Drive Oracle Fusion India legal entity configuration as the primary ERP workstream chart of accounts, intercompany rules, GST/e-invoicing integration (ClearTax/Avalara), and integration to the group KSA Oracle instance. Track Oracle module go-live (Finance, SCM, HR, Projects) as separate sub-milestones with individual sign- offs. Coordinate with the Oracle SI partner and the KSA Oracle team on data consistency standards and cross-entity reporting scope. Treat Oracle Fusion go-live as a Day-1 priority workstream given its criticality to GCC financial operations.
- Phase 3 Workstreams (Y1Q2 onwards): Procurement/S2P (Coupa/Ariba), Expense (Concur/Zoho), Travel, DR/Backup (Druva/Veeam), Data Catalog (Purview), AI/ML sandbox manage vendor selection and onboarding per the implementation roadmap. AI productivity tools (M365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, domain AI assistants) manage rollout coordination, usage governance tracking, and adoption metrics reporting as formal programme deliverables under the GCC Human + AI transformation workstream.
SkillsCore Technical Domain Knowledge

Desired candidate profile:
- A hands-on delivery professional who has managed the full lifecycle of an IT tech stack rollout, from RFP through vendor selection, contract sign-off, implementation, UAT, go-live, and post-live BAU handover
- Comfortable operating at a tactical level with deep attention to detail on timelines, dependencies, and vendor deliverables while keeping the IT Head informed on progress and risks
- Technically literate, can evaluate vendor proposals, challenge architects on design choices, and hold implementation partners accountable on technical deliverables without needing to write code
- Familiar with India GCC establishment challenges: ISP lead times, building infrastructure readiness, statutory compliance timelines, and talent onboarding in Chennai

- Group CIO sign-off obtained on GCC IT architecture baseline (identity, network, ITSM, hardware standards) before procurement commences tracked as a Phase 0 gate deliverable
- Group CISO sign-off obtained on GCC cybersecurity baseline design (EDR, SIEM log-shipping, IAM/MFA policy) before Day 1 go-live tracked as a Phase 1 gate deliverable
