Position: Project Solution Architect

Job Summary

The Project Solution Architect is responsible for leading the end-to-end solutioning process for client opportunities, including Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) responses. The role combines presales consulting, technical architecture, project estimation, solution design, and delivery governance to ensure that proposed solutions are technically sound, commercially competitive, and aligned with client business objectives.

The incumbent will work closely with Sales, Business Development, Delivery, Engineering, and Client Stakeholders to create winning proposals, define scalable solution architectures, estimate project effort and cost, conduct client presentations, and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

815 years of experience in IT Services, Consulting, or Enterprise Technology.

Minimum 35 years of experience in Solution Architecture or Technical Presales.

Demonstrated experience preparing successful RFP/RFI/RFQ responses.

Experience working with enterprise clients across multiple industries.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and project delivery methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Presales & Client Solutioning

Lead the technical solutioning for RFP, RFI, RFQ, and Statement of Work (SOW) opportunities.

Analyze customer requirements, business objectives, and technical specifications to develop comprehensive solution proposals.

Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to identify customer needs and propose value-driven technology solutions.

Participate in client discovery workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and technical discussions.

Conduct solution presentations,



demonstrations, and architecture walkthroughs for prospective clients.

Address technical queries during proposal evaluations and client negotiations.

Support bid defense meetings and final proposal presentations.

2. RFP Response Management

Review RFP documents and identify technical, functional, commercial, security, and compliance requirements.

Prepare detailed technical responses for RFPs and RFIs.

Define project scope, assumptions, dependencies, exclusions, and risks.

Develop implementation methodology, delivery approach, and transition plans.

Coordinate with multiple internal teams to gather required inputs within proposal timelines.

Ensure all proposals comply with customer requirements and organizational standards.

Contribute to proposal win strategies by highlighting differentiators and cutting-edge approaches.

3. Solution Architecture

Design scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective solution architectures.

Prepare High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.

Recommend appropriate technology stacks, cloud platforms, integration frameworks, databases, and infrastructure.

Design cloud-native, hybrid, and on-premises architectures based on customer requirements.

Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and industry best practices.

4. Project Estimation & Commercial Support

Prepare effort estimations using industry-standard estimation techniques.

Estimate project timelines,



resource requirements, licensing, infrastructure, and implementation costs.

Work with Finance and Delivery teams to prepare pricing models and commercial proposals.

Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Validate project feasibility before proposal submission.

5. Delivery Support

Provide technical leadership during project initiation and execution.

Conduct solution handover sessions to project delivery teams.

Support project managers in planning, architecture governance, and technical decision-making.

Review technical deliverables and ensure architectural compliance.

Assist in resolving complex technical issues during implementation.

6. Client Relationship Management

Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders.

Act as the primary technical advisor during the presales lifecycle.

Understand customer business goals and recommend digital transformation strategies.

Identify opportunities for additional services, enhancements, and future engagements.

Support account growth through strategic technology recommendations.

7. Technology Leadership

Stay updated on emerging technologies, cloud platforms, AI, automation, cybersecurity, and enterprise solutions.

Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) where required.

Recommend innovative technologies that improve customer value and competitive advantage.

Contribute to organizational technology roadmaps and reusable solution assets.
