We are seeking a Principal Security Engineer to lead secure AI adoption across the enterprise while driving the use of AI to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our Cyber Security organization.
This individual will act as a technical leader responsible for establishing security guardrails for enterprise AI usage, evaluating emerging AI technologies, and identifying opportunities to automate and enhance security operations through AI-driven solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on practical implementation, security architecture, automation, and organizational transformation.
Responsibilities
Secure Enterprise AI Adoption
- Define security standards and guardrails for AI technologies used across the company.
- Review and assess AI-enabled tools, platforms, and vendors.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, IT, Legal, and Compliance teams to enable safe AI adoption.
- Evaluate risks related to:
- Sensitive data exposure
- Identity and access management
- Third-party AI services
- Agentic workflows
- Prompt injection
- Data leakage
- AI governance
- Develop AI security guidance, reference architectures, and best practices.
- Support security reviews for AI-enabled applications and integrations.
Drive AI Adoption Within Cyber Security
- Identify opportunities to automate security workflows using AI.
- Build and deploy AI-powered solutions that improve:
- Vulnerability management
- Incident response
- Security operations
- Security engineering
- Risk management
- Compliance activities
- Develop prototypes, copilots, and automation tools that reduce manual effort and increase team effectiveness.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing security platforms and workflows.
AI Threat Modeling & Security Research
- Develop threat models for AI systems, including LLMs, RAG applications, AI agents, and autonomous workflows.
- Research emerging AI attack techniques and assess applicability to the enterprise environment.
- Evaluate risks associated with:
- Model poisoning
- Training data integrity
- Supply chain attacks on AI components
- Jailbreaks and adversarial prompting
- Agent privilege escalation
- Retrieval poisoning
- Shadow AI usage
- Maintain awareness of evolving AI security standards and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in security engineering, security architecture, or cybersecurity.
- Strong experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
- Experience designing security controls for SaaS and enterprise environments.
- Hands-on software development and automation skills (Python preferred).
- Experience integrating APIs and building workflow automation.
- Familiarity with contemporary AI platforms and enterprise AI tools.
- Strong understanding of:

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience implementing enterprise AI governance programs.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI Enterprise, Claude Enterprise, or similar platforms.
- Experience
- Experience building AI-assisted workflows or internal AI tools.
- Familiarity with:
- RAG architectures
- AI agents
- Vector databases
- LangChain or similar frameworks
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud security certifications.

Within the first year, this person will:
- Establish a practical AI security framework for the organization.
- Enable safe adoption of AI technologies across the enterprise.
- Deliver measurable automation and efficiency gains within the Cyber Security team.
- Reduce manual operational effort through AI-assisted workflows.
- Become the trusted advisor for both AI security and AI-driven security transformation.
